NWO Demonstrator supports researchers in translating promising research results into a working demonstrator or Minimum Viable Product (MVP) with clear market potential. Funding can cover technical development, validation, and knowledge-utilisation activities needed to prepare the technology for transfer to an external party or for commercialisation through a spin-off/company.
We're proud to share that a Demonstrator project has been awarded by the Dutch Research Council (NWO) to TU/e, backing the Gelion Care team's plasma-activated hydrogel technology for burn wound infection control and antimicrobial resistance (AMR).
This funding will support taking the technology to MVP stage, a critical step toward getting it into the hands of clinicians who need better tools to fight AMR in burn care.
